Hebrew is a Semitic language that the Israelites spoke. Some people also know it as a biblical language. Despite being an ancient language, more than nine million people in the world speak it today. This language is most prevalent in Israel, but the United States also boasts over 200,000 fluent Hebrew speakers.
The Hebrew alphabet is known as the abjad, and it comprises vowels. Even so, they are not marked. This means that one has to master how the words are pronounced correctly to communicate effectively. Interestingly, there are tongue twisters in Hebrew, just like in English. They enable speakers to have fun and become more eloquent.
