No visitor to Brunei should expect to find a land-based casino here. There have been some illegal offerings of some of the basic casino game such as card games. When caught doing this, there are harsh penalties for both those offering the games and those participating in them, including foreigners.
The Brunei government forbids all forms of gambling, and this is enforced through the Common Gaming House Act. Although the act covers land-based gambling, it is assumed that it also refers to online betting which would include online casinos. The government is even contemplating enforcing Sharia law, which would make it more dangerous to gamble.
